The AOL/NCAS Online Safety Study October 2004 surveyed 329 internet enabled PC's and found the following: 19% had a virus and 80% where infected with spyware The average number of infections was 2.4 viruses and 93 items of spyware The highest number of infections was 213 viruses and 1,059 items of spyware Users of peer to peer software had 50% more spyware infections 72% of PC's did not employ a properly configured firewall Is my PC effected by viruses, worms, spyware, adware, trojans or transponders?
